Episode 28: The Long Island Serial Killer Pt. 1
On May 1, 2010, a woman named Shannan Gilbert called 911 saying people were trying to kill her. Twenty-three minutes later, the call went dead. She was never found alive — but the search for her led investigators straight into one of the most disturbing serial killer cases in recent American history.
This week Sam & Briana walk through the discovery of the Gilgo Beach Four, who these women were, and the years of department failures that let their killer keep going. This one is heavy, but it's a story that deserves to be told carefully and all the way through.
Part 2 picks up next week with the man behind it all.
